Lead Ruby on Rails Developer

Company: Scale-up, market leader in NL, active across multiple European countries

Working model: On-site preferred, flexibility possible in consultation

Candidate must have workpermit for the Netherlands, no visa sponsorship.

Language: English (Dutch not required)

As Lead Ruby on Rails Developer, you will be responsible for the technical backbone of the platform and the leadership of the development team.

Key responsibilities:

• Technical leadership and coaching of the development team

• Ownership of architecture, code quality, scalability and performance

• Hands-on development in Ruby on Rails

• Collaborating with Product Owner and founders on roadmap and technical decisions

• Planning and structuring software development

• Translating product and client requirements into technical solutions

• Acting as technical point of contact for integrations, APIs and external partners

• Responsibility for technical aspects related to ISO 27001

We are looking for a senior, pragmatic Lead Developer who is comfortable operating in a scale-up environment and enjoys working closely with the team on-site.

Required experience:

• Strong, production-level experience with Ruby on Rails

• Proven experience as Lead Developer or Senior Developer with team responsibility

• Experience designing and maintaining scalable SaaS architectures

• Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations

• Solid understanding of software quality, security and performance

• Comfortable working in an international, English-speaking environment
